Electrical Installation Condition Reports

Where electrical work has taken place in your home over the years, the chances are you won't have a true idea of the soundness of the installation. For many years your electrics have been subjected to wear and tear, DIY alterations, damage, possible overload and environmental influence.

It is recommended that all domestic situations are inspected and tested at least every 10 years or more frequently for an older installation. If you let your property it will probably be a requirement for your installation to be inspected for insurance purposes.

These inspections are known as 'Electrical Installation Condition Reports' previously known as 'Periodic Inspection Reports' and must be carried out by an experienced electrician.

An installation in poor condition can realistically result in a fire or severe / lethal electric shock!
